Operator and scope
This policy covers Rooftop Buddies and its information website, operated by ROWAN INTERACTIVE. Privacy contact: operator support, info@rowanzone.co.kr. Effective October 4, 2026.
On-device information
Garden progress, currency, inventory, photos, settings and store proof for purchase restoration are saved in app-private device storage. We do not automatically upload garden progress or photos. There are no game accounts, cloud progress sync or real friend visits in this version.
Purchase verification
For purchase, restore and entitlement refresh, the app sends the product ID, store and store-issued proof over HTTPS. Apple signed transactions or Google purchase tokens are checked with the respective official store API. Our separate game database stores a purchase reference hash, store, test/production environment, entitlement status and purchase/verification timestamps. Raw receipts/tokens are not saved in the server database or application logs. We do not collect payment card or bank account numbers.
Requests, support and statistics
IP addresses are used for network communication and temporary abuse limits and may occur in server error logs. Daily rotated server logs are kept for up to approximately 15 days. Support email includes your email address and information you choose to send. Download statistics come from aggregated store reports. The app and website have no advertising/tracking SDKs or analytics cookies.
Retention and deletion
Local data is removed when app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled; operating system backups follow your device/cloud settings. Purchase records are retained to provide and restore the permanent unlock; you may request deletion. Support records are kept as needed to resolve requests and disputes and then deleted. Records legally required to be retained are held separately for the applicable period. Electronic records are deleted using methods intended to prevent recovery.
Stores and sharing
Purchase proof and app/product identifiers are sent to Apple Inc. or Google LLC for verification, potentially processed in the United States or other operating locations under their policies. Transmission happens over HTTPS during purchase, restore or entitlement refresh; the store retention policy applies. Without purchases no purchase proof is sent, and paid features remain locked. Garden images are sent only to the sharing destination you select.
Your choices and security
You or your legal representative may contact support to request access, correction, deletion or restriction. Only minimum information needed to locate a purchase record will be requested; never send passwords or card numbers. Deleting progress does not refund a store purchase. We use encrypted transport, game-specific database permissions and restricted administrator access. Changes are posted here with an updated effective date.
